Girona are about to complete the signing of Donny van de Beek from Manchester United, according to reports from Spain.
Cadena SER journalist Nil Solà today reports there’s a ‘total agreement’ for the midfielder to join the La Liga side.
It’s claimed that Van de Beek has already passed his medical and there are only details missing for the transfer to be confirmed, as he’ll sign a contract until 2028.
Even though he’s not set to join the squad tomorrow, like Girona’s new signing Gabriel Misehouy, he should be with his new teammates soon.
The report doesn’t bring any details of how much Manchester United will make with the sale, while he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at just €5m.
Van de Beek spent the past few months on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he only made eight appearances and obviously couldn’t get a permanent transfer.
Manchester United spent around €40m to sign him from Ajax in the summer of 2020. He’s set to leave the club with 62 appearances, never really managing to prove he deserved a sequence in the starting team.
