Manchester United’s talks with Juventus for the transfer of Mario Mandzukic continue to be reported every day in the Italian media.
For a few days the local outlets have been adding a second player to these reports, and Calcio Mercato continues the trend.
They say the Red Devils are also interested in the signing of Emre Can, and have apparently opened negotiations so the German midfielder can move to Old Trafford in January.
But although Manchester United want to spend little on Mandzukic, paying no more than the €10m requested by Juventus, Can could be a lot more expensive.
Calcio Mercato reports the Old Lady are currently demanding €40m for the former Liverpool player. This is just a first request, but even the Italian source considers it to be a lot.
They say the important thing is that the first contacts have been made, and the story could develop soon. It’s worth recalling that Can was left out of Juve’s Champions League squad, and his frustration could lead to an early exit.
