On Tuesday morning, we covered reports from Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport which said Manchester United could present an official offer for André Onana by Friday.
Amid claims that Inter Milan chief Piero Sausilio is in England to hold talks, it was said the Red Devils look to agree the deal soon.
It turns out that as Corriere Della Sera also writes about Manchester United’s pursuit of Onana, they claim the Old Trafford side are actually very likely to convince the Nerazzurri.
According to their story, the Red Devils are ready to put €50m on the table, and for Inter Milan, that’s an offer which is ‘impossible to refuse’.
Corriere Della Sera confirms that Ausilio is in England to ‘deal’ with the Red Devils, so this whole situation starts to look very positive.
The reason Inter Milan are not putting up a big fight for Onana is that, even with a €50m sale, they’d be making a huge profit with the goalkeeper. That’s because they signed him for free when landing him from Ajax last summer.
Highlighting the good business the Nerazzurri could do, Corriere asks ‘who would have ever thought’ that would be happening this summer.
