Manchester United midfielder Fred has reached an agreement with Fenerbahce to join them this summer and is now waiting for the two clubs do likewise.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who says the two clubs are still negotiating a deal for the Brazilian.
Fred has been linked with a move away from Manchester United for much of the summer, with Erik ten Hag seemingly not including him in his plans moving forwards.
The Dutchman has been keen to continue his rebuild this summer and several key players from the old regime appear to be heading out the door before the end of the window.
Fred is one of them and has been linked with a move to Turkey, where Fenerbahce have been working on a deal for him for weeks.
It seems they’ve now cleared the first hurdle in that regard, with Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reporting that the midfielder has ‘signed with’ the Manchester United midfielder.
We’ll assume he means reached an agreement as he follows this up by explaining that the talks between the two clubs continue.
That shouldn’t be a difficult process, although negotiations with Turkish sides are notoriously complicated, given the player seems keen on the move and Manchester United aren’t opposed to a departure.
