Manchester United midfielder Fred is edging closer to an exit from the club, according to claims from Brazil.
UOL today writes that the midfielder has now changed agents to ‘facilitate’ his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
The report says Fred is on the ‘list of negotiable players’ at Manchester United and now made this move to help the process.
The 30-year-old used to be represented by former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva, and has now joined Paulo Pitombeira’s agency.
According to UOL, that Fred’s contract has less than a year left is one of the ‘main reasons’ he’s closing in on a summer move.
For now, there’s no information on which clubs are potentially interested in signing the midfielder this summer.
Fred had barely started any games in the final months of last season, and now sees Mason Mount arriving to compete for another spot in midfield.
The Brazilian joined Manchester United in a €59m move from Shakhtar Donetsk back in 2018, and made 213 appearances for the Red Devils so far. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
