Manchester United youngster Álvaro Fernández is ‘waiting patiently’ to seal a move to Granada, with a deal close to being finalised.
That’s according to Marca, who say the Spanish side are working to strengthen their squad and the Manchester United man will be one of two players who are ‘the next to land’ in Los Cármenes.
Fernández has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford throughout the summer as he looks for regular first-team football that isn’t on offer under Erik ten Hag.
Several sides in Spain have shown an interest in him but reports have put Granada at the front of the queue, with it reported on the 29th that a deal was close.
The deal had been put on hold because Manchester United need to keep him until they find a new left back following the injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
That new player is yet to arrive and, as such, Fernández is still ‘waiting patiently’ for his exit from Old Trafford to be sealed, according to Marca.
They state that an agreement between the two clubs is ‘close to being closed’ and the youngster is simply waiting for the final parts of the deal to be formalised.
There have been problems in doing so and they have caused the matter to be delayed more than expected, but there is a confidence it will be done at some point before tomorrow’s deadline.
