Manchester United defender Alex Telles is ‘still on crutches’ following his injury at the World Cup but is hoping to be back from the problem ‘as soon as possible’.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the full-back has ‘reasons to smile’ despite the injury ruining his World Cup dream.
The newspaper explains that Telles is ‘in the process of recovering’ from the serious injury he picked up in Qatar.
The Grade II-III partial tear of the internal lateral ligament, plus a partial involvement of the posterior cruciate ligaments of his right knee, will force him to be out until mid-February depending on his recovery.
At the moment that is ‘not suffering any setbacks’ and that’s seen as a reason for optimism for the defender, adding to the fact the injury was ‘not as bad as it first appeared’.
If all goes well, he will return for Jorge Sampaoli’s side in the second half of the season, something which has provided extra motivation for the Manchester United man.
He is ‘still on crutches’ at the moment and was seen in the stands supporting him teammates yesterday sporting them.
Fortunately for him there is a ‘confidence’ in him from those in charge at Sevilla, who are not planning to source a replacement in the January transfer window and are confident the Manchester United loanee will ‘make a speedy recovery’ for this injury set back.
