Victor Lindelof’s current deal at Manchester United runs out in the summer of 2025.

The Sweden defender is currently injured, having only been a bit-part player at Old Trafford because of his fitness problems this season.

He has played only 293 minutes of first-team football in all competitions, having returned from a previous injury earlier in the campaign.

The centre-back has been previously linked with a move to Italy but nothing has materialised. It now seems as if the Serie A could indeed be a destination for the centre-back.

InterLive today report that the 30-year-old is destined leave Manchester United next summer and the outlet are confident that the player will not extend his deal at the Theatre of Dreams.

Inter Milan see Lindelof as a ‘great opportunity’, especially because he will be a free agent at the end of the season.

The club believe that the ex-Benfica man will fit into Simone Inzaghi’s setup. Club CEO Beppe Marotta is quite an expert at signing players on free transfers and after cases like Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcus Thuram and Stefan de Vrij, Lindelof could be next.
