Manchester United midfielder Fred is ‘under consideration’ at Lazio after being proposed to the Italian side yesterday.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who do however say that manager Maurizio Sarri will have to be convinced on the player.
The Italian coach wants a midfielder for his team but is currently focused on other options so ‘doesn’t even go crazy’ for Fred at this moment in time.
However, attempts to sign those alternative players have fallen by the wayside in recent weeks and now Fred has been offered by Manchester United.
He is very much on the market and has been made available for €10-15m as he is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford.
Galatasaray are also chasing his signature so there is competition and Lazio need to make a decision quickly if they are to be the winners of that particular race.
They need to convince Sarri on him but for a short while he was the Mister X on President Claudio Lotito’s list of options and there was a feeling he would push for a move for him.
He remains on the table but a move will not be made if Sarri doesn’t approve it, something he is yet to do as he looks at other options than the Manchester United man.
