On March 1st, TyC Sports reported Manchester United and AC Milan had initiated contact for Boca Juniors’ Aaron Anselmino.
Earlier this week, the 18-year-old insisted he wants to continue at the Argentine club amid claims of interest from the Red Devils.
Today’s edition of Olé have relayed his quotes and then state his desire clashes with the ‘persistent’ interest shown by Manchester United and the Serie A side.
It’s further claimed there have been ‘advances’ from these two clubs in the last few hours to try and sign the centre-back.
He’s made two appearances this year after making his senior team debut in 2023. So far, the defender has made seven appearances for Boca Juniors and the scouts from both Manchester United and the Rossoneri have already watched him.
Olé explain that it’s possible for Erik ten Hag’s side and Milan to convert their surveys into a concrete offer for Anselmino soon.
He could be the next jewel of Boca Juniors to make a switch to Europe.
The player has a $20m [€18.5m] release clause in a deal that lasts until December 2028 and the newspaper questions whether Manchester United and/or Milan are willing to pay this figure for Anselmino at this moment in time.
