Manchester United interest in Ecuadorian youngster Kendry Paez is today revealed by the local media.
As Olé features a story about the young talents coming out of Independiente Del Valle’s youth ranks, they talk a little about the 15-year-old, who’s already been promoted to feature for their first team in the 2023 season.
The story claims the Ecuadorian side know they have a ‘jewel’ in their hands, and proof of it is that many clubs are said to be following him. One of them is Manchester United.
It’s claimed that the Red Devils ‘made an offer’ to sign the youngster some months ago, and that was turned down by the South America side.
The report doesn’t say whether Manchester United are still trying to sign the midfielder, or if they’re planning to make a new attempt anytime soon.
Olé says that Independiente Del Valle have a full plan for the youngster not to ‘burn steps’ in his way to professional football. They’re first mixing him with players from the first team and then waiting for the time of his debut. It’s said they want him to be ‘ready’ by the time they start listening to offers for him.
Kendry Paez would not be able to move to European football until he’s 18-years-of-age, so any transfer would be in the style of Real Madrid’s deal to sign Endrick.
