Following an article on Manchester United’s reported interest in Dusan Vlahovic, the media have now decide to shove the Red Devils’ desire to sign Victor Osimhen back down our throats.
For once, it’s the French media who do it rather than their Italian counterparts, with RMC Sport featuring a lengthy article on Paris Saint-Germain’s attempts to get the Nigerian forward.
They have the advantage of employing Luis Campos, who was the one who orchestrated the striker’s move to Lille a few years ago, and the Portuguese transfer guru has made it his mission to acquire him again, beating the likes of Manchester United in the process.
The outlet explain Osimhen’s performances have been hard to ignore, and the Red Devils, alongside Chelsea, have made the first move, which is to ‘inform themselves at the very least’.
The Ligue 1 side, though, have gone further than that, as Campos has ‘met his entourage to convince them that Paris is the best destination next summer’ for the 24-year-old.
In fact, the two parties have talked ‘a number of times’, but Osimhen has yet to give them an agreement, even if he isn’t against the move.
That’s because he’s never ‘hidden his attraction for the Premier League’, and there is the added problem of the cost for Paris Saint-Germain, as Napoli are going to be ‘greedy’.
They state Aurelio De Laurentiis is expecting ‘at least €100m’ to let his star go, and that’s not a figure the French club will put forward.
We all know Manchester United or Chelsea could, though, and that’s something that will worry both Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.
