The rise of Kim Min-jae this season at Napoli has been nothing short of impressive, which is why seeing Manchester United linked with him is no surprise.
The Red Devils have actually been named as suitors of the South Korea international for a while now, helped by the fact he has a release clause in his contract only available to foreign club.
That would allow Manchester United to get him at a relatively cheap price of €48m, according to Corriere dello Sport, although whether he would want to move remains to be seen.
Either way, the newspaper also add that Napoli, who know the talent they have at the club, are planning to redo their defender’s contract, as Aurelio De Laurentiis is ‘already projected to retouch his salary’ as well as trying to increase the clause to €65m.
It’s said Manchester United ‘would like to’ trigger the €48m, but whether they manage to do so in time remains to be seen.
That’s because it’s reportedly only valid for only 15 days, meaning that Napoli don’t have to currently fret about it, but will need to redo that contract before then.
