With Manchester United still looking to be the main contenders for the signing of Gleison Bremer from Juventus, Calcio Mercato today shares some news on his future.

The centre-back is said to be the Old Lady’s player drawing most interest from the market, so they can’t ignore the fact that big bids for him could arrive soon.

Manchester United are named as ‘certainly the most keen on him’, and even though there’s the competition from Atlético Madrid and Newcastle United, those two are said to be lagging behind. All of those are said to be ‘talking to agents’ regarding the transfer.

There’s been big talk about Bremer’s release clause, which reportedly stands at between €60m and €70m, depending on the buyer. Calcio Mercato claims this clause is only valid for 2025, but due to an agreement between player and club, that’s how much it would take for Juventus to let him go.

It now remains to be seen whether Manchester United or any other club will place that amount on the table. The outlet points out Newcastle may not be an attractive destination for the player, so that’s an advantage the Red Devils would have when battling to bring him to the Premier League.
