A week today is Christmas Eve, but put all your shopping panic to one side and concentrate more on Erling Braut Haaland.

Bild have been all over the story, covering it from a German perspective and at times insisting they’ve been told Manchester United aren’t the player’s first choice, despite claims otherwise coming from England and Norway.

The German newspaper report Haaland wants to decide his next club before Christmas, and that gives him a week to do so. Once the 19 year old has made up his mind, Manchester United will know whether he’s decided in their favour or not.

Given transfer fee isn’t thought to be an issue, with multiple reports of a €20m clause at Red Bull Salzburg, the player’s word should be all that matters.

Bild concede that a move to the Premier League is the striker’s ‘dream goal’, however, and it’s a big however, they also state he’s ‘probably drawn’ to an ‘intermediate’ step in the Bundesliga.

On another potentially Manchester United issue, Bild report Borussia Dortmund are looking to life beyond Jadon Sancho who will ‘almost certainly’ be leaving BVB in the next summer market.

They’ve identified Sao Paulo’s Antony, who it’s believed will cost €20m.
