Manchester United are in the picture to sign Dinamo Zagreb’s Martin Baturina.
The 21-year-old graduated from Dinamo Zagerb’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2021. Operating as an attacking midfielder, he managed two goals and seven assists from 17 matches this season.
Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report about Manchester United and other clubs’ interest in Baturina.
He claims the Croatia international is a ‘top talent’ from his country and is a fan of Real Madrid star Luka Modrić. Baturina has an opportunity to follow his compatriot to the La Liga side.
The Champions League winners want to sign the Dinamo Zagreb star and offer him a five-year deal. Their plan is to initially send Baturina on loan for two years to another Spanish club. This hasn’t pleased the player, opening doors for other suitors to sign him.
The journalist states Manchester United, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid are also interested in him.
Baturina wants to leave Dinamo Zagreb at the end of the season and his asking price is around €20-25m.
Manchester United have to be convincing because Berger claims the Croatian sees the Bundesliga as the ‘perfect’ destination for him. He makes no mention of any German club showing interest in Baturina.
