Manchester United are again considered one of the contenders to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Despite the rare links between Red Devils and the Dutch player in the past few months, it’s interesting how things got more intense this week, following the 26-year-old’s campaigns with the Netherlands in the World Cup.
It was first the French media who claimed Erik ten Hag is ‘pushing’ for Dumfries’ arrival at Old Trafford, with Italian outlet Calcio Mercato then backing up their interest in the signing just a few hours later.
Now it’s Italy’s Radio Radio who name the Red Devils as one of the clubs who ‘seem interested in entering into negotiations’ with Inter Milan, despite the big price tag he has.
It’s claimed that the Nerazzurri want €60m to let the fullback go, with the outlet pointing out the player seems to have ‘very important offers from England’.
Manchester United are linked alongside Chelsea, who have been reportedly pursuing Dumfries for a long time, and now seem to have some heavy competition coming from Old Trafford.
Ten Hag’s side have been linked with multiple right-backs in recent months, despite Diogo Dalot’s good form at both club and international level.
