Manchester United are among the clubs in the picture to sign Barcelona’s Vitor Roque in the summer window.
The striker arrived at the Camp Nou in January and has been restricted to 310 minutes of action from 13 games for Barca.
Roque is on the front page of Friday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, where Manchester United are named as the interested party.
It’s claimed the La Liga side are considering sending the 19-year-old out on loan in the summer, if they can’t register him for next season due to the fair play restrictions. Xavi Hernández didn’t rule out this option when speaking at the weekend.
Manchester United, Napoli, OGC Nice and Lyon are interested and Mundo say these clubs have contacted the Brazilian’s agent to find out his situation. The four teams have now joined Real Betis and Sevilla in the transfer chase.
The teenager, for his part, has no intention of leaving Barca after this season. The Red Devils and other clubs will have to convince him, if they want to secure his services in the next window.
Recent claims have talked about sending Roque to Atlético Madrid as part of the deal to buy João Félix, but neither Barca nor the South American’s entourage have any information on this.
This again feels like Catalan drama, with Manchester United dragged in for impact.
