Manchester United are interested in the signing of Marko Grujic, according to claims from Serbia.

Telegraf writes that the Red Devils are one of the clubs who are ‘seriously enquiring’ about the Porto player, as contacts ‘have already been stabilised through intermediaries’.

It’s not only Manchester United who are pursuing the 26-year-old, since AC Milan are also said to be interested and started talks for his signing as well.

Grujic has been doing very well for Porto this season. The Dragons signed him from Liverpool on a couple of loan deals until they made the transfer permanent for €9m last summer.

The player’s past at Anfield is a point brought up by Telegraf, who wonder if Grujic would be capable of playing for Manchester United after the years he belonged to the Reds.

It’s claimed that Grujic was a ‘big fan of Liverpool since childhood’, so besides ‘disappointing’ the club’s fans, he’d also find a dilemma of his own.

The truth is that the midfielder never managed to shine for the Reds, as despite belonging to the club for six years, he only made 16 appearances for them.

With Porto being tough negotiators, perhaps it’s the Dragons who Manchester United should be worried about.
