Manchester United could be given an open route to Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick this summer, as they’re planning without him anyway.
That’s according to SportBILD, who cover reports that Manchester United are already talking to the striker about a move.
They say that Schick is a ‘hot candidate’ to leave this summer and reports this week have stated that Manchester United have already spoken to him about a move.
That could work out nicely for Leverkusen as Schick ‘has a problem’ with current manager Xabi Alonso, who has regularly rotated him out of the side and left him on the bench. This has led to ‘moods’ from the Czech striker.
SportBILD also report that the Bundesliga club are planning to work with just one striker next season and Schick would lose out to Victor Boniface in their plans.
They would expect a €25-30m deal for the striker but are very much open to negotiating a deal for him in the coming months. That should give Manchester United encouragement if they are truly interested in him.
There’s certainly a deal there to be done for him, with Schick unhappy, Leverkusen planning without him and all roads leading to an exit.
