Manchester United continue being labelled as the main contenders for the signing of Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
As Portuguese newspaper O Jogo features a big piece on the player’s market value, they point out the Red Devils are those who want to take him from the Dragons.
The reason for today’s story is that Costa’s value on Transfermarkt has been updated, with the website now saying he’s worth €45m.
That’s a record amount for the goalkeeper, who keeps on doing well for Porto and is now seen as a big asset for the club.
O Jogo then points out there are European giants interested in his signing, and the only who actually get mentioned are Manchester United.
It’s claimed that besides having already been linked to Costa, the Red Devils have been a ‘habitual presence’ at the Estádio do Dragão, as they often have representatives scouting Porto’s matches.
Manchester United have indeed been linked a lot to Diogo Costa in the past few months.
But with David De Gea back to doing well for the club, we wonder if they’ll be making such heavy investment in a goalkeeper anytime soon.
