Over the past few weeks, the Swedish media have named Manchester United as a contender to sign AIK Fotboll’s Kevin Filling.
On November 1st, Fotboll Direkt reported the Red Devils have initiated contact with AIK for the 16-year-old. It was also stated Ruben Amorim’s side don’t want to offer more than €3m while the player’s club want €5m.
Two days later, the striker said he isn’t aware of the reports.
Africa Foot now covers Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart interest in the attacker.
After approaching the Swedish club, Manchester United have contacted his entourage. It’s claimed the Premier League side are the ‘first to approach’ the Sweden U18 international’s camp to ‘begin negotiations’.
Manchester United will face competition from BVB, who are seriously interested. Stuttgart are also said to be in picture.
According to Africa Foot, the youngster has an €8m release clause. The Swedish press earlier reported AIK are demanding €5m, which Manchester United refused to match.
Bild are also covering Borussia Dortmund keeping an eye on Filling, who is considered as one of the brightest prospects from Sweden.
If BVB were to sign Filling, Bild reports he’ll have to initially start with their youth team or go out on loan.
Filling will turn 18 years of age at the end of November 2026. He won’t be able to move to the UK until then if Manchester United were to secure his services.
