Manchester United to provide ‘dangerous competition’ for signing – Club planning for player’s exit

Two days ago, we relayed news from the Italian media explaining that Manchester United are ‘moving’ to sign Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners, who is valued at €60m.

The midfielder has been one of the key players for Gian Piero Gasperini and his fine displays this season have seen him attract interest from other clubs.

A fresh report from Tuttosport names both Juventus and Manchester United as interested parties and also provides La Dea’s stance on his transfer.

Atalanta are already planning to bring in one or two new midfielders as they are expected to part ways the Dutchman. Frosinone’s Marco Brescianini is identified as a target and the report says La Dea are closely following him.

Juventus are also keen on signing the Netherlands international, but it won’t be easy for them to acquire his signature in the summer. That’s because of the ‘dangerous competition’ from the Premier League, ‘first and foremost’ from Manchester United.

Tuttosport state it’s ‘no mystery’ that the Red Devils have better financial resources than the Turin club to meet Atalanta’s request of €60m for the 25-year-old. Therefore, Juve are looking at alternatives and have set their sights on Brescianini.
