Four days ago, Bild stated Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal in the winter market.
It was also reported the Bundesliga side will pay €1.5m in loan fee and the purchase option is set at €10m.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly Twitter, to explain that the Manchester United player has already completed his medical tests with the German club.
Plettenberg adds ‘a few small details’ are still to be sorted out between Eintracht Frankfurt and the Red Devils but doesn’t explain exactly what those details are.
This is likely to be sorted out soon since the journalist claims the ‘official announcement’ of the 26-year-old’s transfer is scheduled for ‘this week’.
Manchester United signed the Dutchman from Ajax in 2020 and he has found it difficult to have a prominent role at Old Trafford. He has made 62 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side, managing two goals and two assists in the process.
Van de Beek spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Everton and is all set to go out on loan again, to Eintracht Frankfurt, next month.
