Manchester United and Napoli have now exchanged documents for the transfer of Scott McTominay, reports Gianluca Di Marzio on Tuesday evening.
Antonio Conte has been seriously pressuring Napoli to bring him in the players he wants this summer, and a big effort has been made for the Scotland international in the past few days.
The transfer is taken as done after claims in recent days put the fee at around €25-30m. With Napoli struggling to get some other transfers over the line, they really needed to get a big one done for their demanding manager.
Di Marzio reports McTominay will have his Napoli medical tests on Wednesday, and is set to fly out for those. It’s not clear whether that flight will take place this evening or tomorrow morning, but there’ll certainly be a welcoming committee at Napoli for the Manchester United youth product.
Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte is expected to join Manchester United from PSG over the next 48 hours, in a deal worth around €50m plus a further €10m in potential bonus payments.
