Everton and Manchester United are eyeing a move for Boca Juniors youngster Aaron Anselmino, but face competition from Italy and Portugal.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, who say the Premier League duo are monitoring the ‘promising’ youngster.
They explain that Anselmino is being targeted by AC Milan, as they play to overhaul their defence in the summer transfer window.
They’re not the only side showing an interest, though, with Everton, Manchester United and Benfica also in the mix for the 18-year-old. Indeed, the belief with United is that they could buy him then ‘send him to Nice’, who are also controlled by INEOS.
The interest from Everton and Manchester United is nothing new, with the Toffees first credited with an interest in the January transfer window.
Manchester United followed them not long afterwards and have been continually linked with a move since, with a report at the beginning of this month stating contact had already been made.
The belief in Italy is that both are very much in the mix ahead of the summer as they look to the future and eye a rising talent from Argentina.
