Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion have registered their interest in signing Swedish youngster Edvin Tellgren.
The 16-year-old broke into the first team of third division Swedish side, Karlslunds IF HFK, after coming through the ranks of their academy.
Operating as a centre-back, the teenager made 14 league appearances for side Karlslunds IF HFK’s senior team last season.
His displays for lower division side have caught attention of clubs across Europe, and the list includes the Red Devils.
The youngster revealed Manchester United and Brighton interest during an interview with local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda.
“I’ve heard from Manchester United and Brighton in England. In Italy it is Parma, Inter and Bologna. ÖSK, Norrköping, Malmö, IFK Göteborg, Häcken and Sirius in Sweden and then Copenhagen and Bröndby in Denmark,” Fotbolltransfers quoted Tellgren as saying.
The talented youngster further stressed that he has also received offers from a few of those clubs. According to the report, one of them is from Parma, who are willing to hand him a three-year contract.
“First of all, there is interest, but I have contract offers from some of them. There are other offers that also attract,” he explained.
“There are very different offers and if you go to Italy, you have to go far from home. At the same time, the conditions there are insanely good.”
