Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho has been linked with a transfer to Napoli in the past few days.

As Khvicha Kvaratskhelia nears a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Serie A side are seeking replacements and the Italian media insist Garnacho is on the shortlist of Antonio Conte’s side.

Corriere dello Sport have reported about the Manchester United star today, revealing that Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has already spoken to the Argentine’s representatives during a meeting in Barcelona.

The intention was to understand the feasibility of a move. In the meantime, the Red Devils’ demands have also emerged.

Manchester United are said want over €70m to sell the 20-year-old and so far, Napoli are offering €50m including bonuses. That figure isn’t good enough for Ruben Amorim’s side but the money earned from a Garnacho would help the English giants financially.

That’s because of PSR regulations. Considering that Garnacho is a youth product, Manchester United will record money earned from his sale as pure profit. That will help them stay in line with Financial Fair Play and it seems as if this is something Napoli also want to exploit.

The price tag is pretty high for them but the report indicates that the Old Trafford side might settle for a bit less.

Corriere dello Sport feature this story on their front, which indicates how big a deal it is for them.
