Manchester United are still interested in the Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, according to CalcioMercato.

The Red Devils allegedly made an approach during the summer transfer window, and according to the Italian website, the club are still keeping an eye on him.

They claim that United scouts have been watching the player “more frequently” and they already know the player’s price after consulting Juventus in the past few months.

Alex Sandro joined Juventus from Porto in 2015 for €26m. According to Calcio Mercato, Manchester United had already put up competition to the Old Lady at the time.

The website says that the player is now worth the double that amount, which in other words would mean £47m. Sandro has become a regular starter this season and is considered to be the present and future of the Italian club. He’s currently 25, and Juventus really have no intention to see him leaving soon.

Manchester United already have Luke Shaw at left back, with Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and even Matteo Darmian also capable of playing there.
