Manchester United are among the clubs keen on Red Bull Salzburg’s Oumar Solet, according to RMC Sport.
The centre-back joined the Austrian side in 2020, and two different injuries restricted him to 28 appearances in all competitions in the 2023/24 season.
With a deal expiring in 2025, the report says the defender wants to take the next step in his career in the summer window.
Solet has managed to attract interest from other European clubs, and Manchester United are included in this list, along with Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart.
With regards to Manchester United, it’s claimed they have followed the Frenchman closely, along with another unnamed English club.
Last month, Foot Mercato said West Ham United have a ‘strong interest’ in Solet, and they could be the other English club mentioned by RMC Sport.
Salzburg, for their part, are aiming to collect a fee between €12m and €15m, which is relatively cheap.
Given the player’s issues last season it would be very fortunate if he were to get a move to Manchester United this summer. Claims continue to pop up in France bringing new clubs into the picture for Solet, and those claims may be coming from his camp.
