Manchester United and Chelsea have made ‘very good offers’ to Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, who is yet to decide on his future.

Alaba is out of contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer, and the German champions have pulled out of talks about a renewal after baulking at the player’s salary demands.

Reports in Spain today indicated that Alaba has finalised a move to Real Madrid and undergone a medical, but this has been rejected in Germany, where they insist no such deal has been signed and his other suitors remain in the picture.

Among these are Chelsea and Manchester United, according to Kicker, who say that both clubs have made ‘very good offers’ to the Austrian.

They’re among a host of clubs to have done so, although interestingly the player is yet to exchange figures with Manchester City.

The newspaper reports that Alaba is yet to decide on his future and his agent, Pini Zahavi, is calm about the situation.

Indeed, he sees no need to rush into a decision and may delay making one until April or May.

At the moment Real Madrid seem to be in front, but talks of a medical are wide of the mark, with this actually stemming from Alaba visiting a doctor in Germany to have a report ready for his negotiations with various clubs.

Where the 28-year-old ends up remains to be seen, but at this moment in time,  Manchester United, Chelsea, and also Liverpool, are still in the picture according to German reports.
