On Monday, Area Napoli brought wild claims from journalists Gerardo Fasano and Paolo Bargiggi that Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho moving to Napoli is a pretty sure thing.
Recent claims from elsewhere have said Chelsea are interested in the Manchester United player.
Despite this, Il Mattino, relayed by Sport Mediaset, state the Premier League competition doesn’t scare Napoli because the forward has given them ‘extensive assurances’.
Il Mattino has found out the 20-year-old has informed the Red Devils that he only wants to join the Naples club if he were to leave England. The Serie A side will do everything they can to try and sign him in the winter market.
There’s a €20m difference between Manchester United and Napoli over the Argentina international’s valuation and the report hasn’t mentioned any other figures.
Napoli are aware clubs from England have knocked on Manchester United’s door. In order to get ahead in the race for Garnacho, they can use Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
The report states Napoli have informed Ruben Amorim’s side they can offer a discount on Osimhen’s €75m asking price, if Manchester United were to cooperate with the Garnacho deal.
The outlet says ‘Osimhen could tempt’ Manchester United.
