Juventus are edging Douglas Luiz into a deal for Jadon Sancho and Manchester United ‘are thinking about it’, reports Corriere dello Sport on Friday.
Sancho made 42 appearances on loan at Chelsea, managing to score five times and contributing a further 10 assists.
Douglas Luiz had a difficult first season at Juventus after his big money move from Aston Villa. The Brazilian had excelled in the Premier League but got off to a slow start in Italy and the media there were on his back right from the beginning.
The Italian newspaper states Manchester United are considering the offer to put Luiz in a deal for Sancho, although there doesn’t appear to be anything especially concrete at this stage.
Corriere dello Sport don’t make clear whether it would be a straight swap or if one of the clubs would have to add money to the deal.
Douglas Luiz is represented by Sports Invest UK Ltd, the same agency as Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkee. That would obviously help with lines of communication, and it’s worth noting that during January it was reported in Italy that the midfielder would be tempted by a move to Old Trafford.
