Manchester United and Hull City could battle it out for Beşiktaş’ Wilfred Ndidi this summer.
The Tigers have returned to the Premier League and want to improve Sergej Jakirović’s squad for the new season.
Hull City are looking at the 29-year-old for their midfield and will face competition from Manchester United.
The Red Devils’ interest isn’t new and have already made an approach for him.
In March, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that Michael Carrick’s side held talks with the Istanbul club for a swap deal involving Ndidi and Altay Bayındır. The goalkeeper is unlikely to enjoy regular minutes, after Senne Lammens’ impressive debut season.
Manchester United and Hull City suitors
Footy-Africa now cover the latest on the former Leicester City man’s future. He spent most of his time at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League, playing 220 top flight matches.
Wilfred Ndidi spent eight years with the Foxes and left them for Beşiktaş in August 2025. Ole Gunnar Solskjær was then in charge, and the Turkish club showed him the exit door later that month.
Since Solskjær’s exit, there has been uncertainty over the Nigeria international’s future.
He could return to the Premier League, where Manchester United and Hull City are keen. These two clubs are keeping a close watch on his situation. Ndidi is also on the agenda of a few unnamed Saudi clubs.
Encouragement for PL duo
The Black Eagles invested €8m to buy him from Leicester City. The report states they are ready to sanction a move only if there’s an offer of €8m to recover their investment.
Hull City and especially Manchester United shouldn’t have an issue to match the price. However, the question is whether either of them is willing to make concrete advances to sign Wilfred Ndidi this summer.
From a sporting point of view, Manchester United would be more appealing that Hull City as they can offer Champions League football.
Beşiktaş have travelled to Slovakia for their pre-season camp. Ndidi will return at the latest on Friday, while discussions over his potential transfer will continue behind the scenes.
He made 31 appearances last season. The Nigerian has a contract until 2028, with an option for another year, and Transfermarkt value him at €8m.
