Following claims that Manchester United had not made a move for Odysseas Vlachodimos, the Red Devils are going after another goalkeeper.
It’s not Yann Sommer either, as it was reported that the Red Devils were considering moving for the Borussia Mönchengladbach veteran, seeing him as an adequate player to push David De Gea in the short-term and maybe even replace him.
However, it appears Manchester United have gone after someone else, and that someone is Kevin Trapp.
The news comes from Bild in Germany, who claim Erik ten Hag’s side ‘want to sign’ the Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper.
In fact, Manchester United ‘have already made an offer’ for the Germany international (six caps), but it’s ‘unclear’ whether his club ‘will accept’ the bid.
This comes after De Gea’s disastrous start to the campaign, making two huge mistakes against Brentford; a game the Red Devils ended up losing 4-0.
A move to Manchester United would see Trapp experience English football for the first time in his career, after playing in both the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, with Paris Saint-Germain.
