Flamengo and Manchester United have agreed a deal for the permanent transfer of Andreas Pereira, according to reports.

TNT Sports’ correspondent Fred Caldeira says the player is being sold for £12m plus bonuses, with the Red Devils having 25% of a future transfer.

The journalist adds that Flamengo reached out to him to deny the numbers involved, and claims that he’ll release a full story soon.

Flamengo have officials in England negotiating for the transfer since Friday, and there had been big optimism from the Brazilian media that an agreement would be reached in the first days of the week.

Andreas Pereira was loaned by Manchester United to Flamengo last summer. Despite a great start for the Rio de Janeiro side, he ended up having a few ups and downs, and got marked by the mistake he made in the Copa Libertadores final.

Still, the player has been making it clear he’d like to stay in Brazil. That’s one of the reasons why the Premier League side are letting him leave for a lot less than the buying option, which stands at €20m.
