Galatasaray are keen on signing Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson this summer.
Four days ago, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported the 31-year-old Brazilian and İlkay Gündoğan both want to join the Turkish champions. He also indicated Ederson is willing to lower his salary demands to join Galatasaray.
Faced with the possibility of losing Ederson, Manchester City have already decided to act and are in a hurry to secure his replacement.
That’s according to Maisfutebol, who say the English club have identified FC Porto star Diogo Costa as their target.
Manchester City have been working in the last few hours to make an offer for the 25-year-old.
Maisfutebol reports they have already made contact to find out about signing the goalkeeper.
It’s claimed the Citizens have started formulating a €60m bid that they intend to propose to the Dragons.
Costa’s contract, which lasts until 2027, has a €75m release clause and it’s unclear whether Porto are willing to accept a lower fee.
Meanwhile, Porto will travel to Austria today for a pre-season camp, and before boarding the flight, the local press asked Costa about his future at the club.
“Last stage? Don’t go there,” he said, as quoted by O Jogo.
