Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has been linked to Mexican side Club America in the past few days.

But despite the initial excitement regarding signing a player from a big Premier League club, the transfer is no longer seen as a good opportunity.

Newspaper Record brings a column written by David Medrano today, as he says there are ‘more cons than pros’ regarding such a signing.

The journalist lists all the points why Claudio Bravo isn’t such a great idea for America, who should go and find another goalkeeper instead.

It’s mentioned that he’s 36; demands US$6m an year; hasn’t played an official match since August 2018; hasn’t played in the Premier League since May 2018; has a temper which left him out of the Copa America; and wouldn’t be cheap considering what Manchester City would demand for his loan.

This is not the journalist’s opinion. He says this is the result after a ‘cold analysis’ from the Mexican club.

So it all makes it quite unlikely that America are making any moves for Claudio Bravo this summer.
