Joe Hart is facing an uncertain future at Manchester City after he was dropped for their first match against Sunderland.
Pep Guardiola started Willy Caballero in goal in his first official game in charge, and reports suggest Manchester City are in the transfer market for a goalkeeper.
The Premier League side have been linked to both Barcelona goalkeepers Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Claudio Bravo, but a deal for the Chilean goalkeeper looks more likely and feasible.
Yesterday, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported sources close to Bravo have told them a transfer to Manchester City is almost done, but this was before Ter Stegen picked up a knee injury.
However, according to another Spanish media outlet El Periodico, Bravo could complete his move to Manchester City after his participation in the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla.
It is reported Guardiola has offered Bravo a longer contract than his current one at Barcelona, and an offer of €20m to Barcelona should be sufficient. That’s been repeated numerous times over the past month or so.
This has been coming for a while now, and it’d be interesting to see if Manchester City can complete a deal quickly now.
