Once considered a very difficult signing, it seems that Manchester City’s David Silva is now starting to be seen as a real possibility for Italian clubs.

Outlet Tutto Mercato Web brings a story today saying that the player’s contract renewal with the Premier league side has stalled, and both Inter Milan and Milan are keeping an eye on the situation.

The talks for a new deal reportedly started in the summer, but there have been no developments from Manchester City’s side when all the player wanted was one more year added to the current contract, which expires in 2019.

Embed from Getty ImagesMilan and Inter Milan were both stopped from making an approach last summer because of the player’s high salary, but things could change next year due to their possibility to invest more.

A January move still seems unlikely, so the Italian sides should go for the midfielde next summer, unless Manchester City find an agreement for the renewal.

But although TMW claims that the new deal seems ‘distant’, we all know that the Premier League side has plenty of time to reach a deal before the end of the season.
