Manchester City star in European Team of the Week after starring against Manchester United

 

On Sunday, French newspaper L’Equipe named Kevin De Bruyne ‘king of the derby’, after the player’s great performance against Manchester United.

The Belgian international got himself a goal, but his all round performance was the most impressive aspect of his game.

There’s never been any doubt over just how talented De Bruyne is and he’s proving that he can have the same impact on the Premier League as he did on the Bundesliga.

L’Equipe reckon Pep Guardiola has got himself an ‘incredibly complete player’ in De Bruyne, and he and Spaniard David Silva ‘have fun like crazy and run like madmen’.

De Bruyne also received praise from Gazzetta dello Sport for his performance against Manchester United.

Each week the Italian newspaper pick a selection of the best players from European leagues, ignoring their own Serie A, and De Bruyne found his way in.

The Manchester City player being included is no shock, and perhaps the only surprise is that he wasn’t accompanied by a teammate or two.
