As widely reported on Monday evening, Manchester City reached an agreement for the signing of Savinho.
Since his parent club Troyes and his current side Girona all belong to the City Group, Pep Guardiola’s side certainly didn’t have a difficult time.
Now a new detail on the negotiations is brought by SER journalist Nil Solà, who claims Manchester City may not bring Savinho to the club next summer.
The reporter claims it’s not ruled out that the player stays loaned at Girona for another year, as he’s ‘very happy’ at the club.
Savinho has seven goals and seven assists for Girona this season, and is one of those responsible for keeping the club in the fight for the La Liga title.
Several clubs have been said to be interested in him recently, but Manchester City obviously had the advantage to land him, and are now expected to confirm it.
In case the English side do choose to buy him and keep him loaned at Girona, that should be a message to the interested clubs that they don’t stand a chance.
