The Brazilian media today shares some news on the future of Manchester City fullback Yan Couto.
The 21-year-old, who’s having a loan spell at Girona, is said to have plenty of options to move in the summer.
According to TNT Sports journalist Fred Caldeira, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are two of the potential destinations for the Manchester City player.
Couto could also remain at Girona, who’ve qualified for the Champions League, or move to one of the, as yet unnamed, Premier League clubs who are keen on him.
The fullback was purchased by Manchester City back in 2020, but was never actually used by Pep Guardiola’s side.
Following the Bundesliga title, Bayer Leverkusen are expected to make some interesting moves in the transfer window, and Couto seems like that kind of player.
The Brazilian is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €15m, and since he’s in good form, it would probably not be bad business for Manchester City to choose to sell him now. That is, unless Pep Guardiola has some plans for him, which was never the case in the past four years.
