Even though the Nations League is currently the centre of attention of the international scene, there are other tournaments going on, especially in the youth levels.
One of those is the Maurice Revello tournament, where France’s U20s are competing, which has brought a number of scouts from around Europe, including one from Manchester City.
That’s what Foot Mercato are reporting through Seb Nonda, who focused his attention on the interest shown in Sekou Mara.
The 19-year-old striker, who scored five goals in the last eight games of the Ligue 1 season for Bordeaux, has shown all his talent with France’s U20s, scoring two in his team’s 6-2 win over Argentina.
Regarding any transfer this summer, Bordeaux, who have just been relegated to Ligue 2, are asking for €10m, knowing full well of the player’s potential.
That isn’t a fee that would put off Manchester City, as they’ve shown they’re ready to pay high fees for young talent around the world in the past.
Whether this interest becomes a bid from Pep Guardiola’s side, however, remains to be seen.
