Bild bring a huge claim on Tuesday lunchtime, regarding a Manchester City offer for Josko Gvardiol.
The 20-year-old can play both in central defence and at left-back, so would fill two holes in Pep Guardiola’s squad. According to the German newspaper, the Premier League champions have put forward more than €80m for the player, a giant bid to RB Leipzig.
Manchester City have been keen on the player for a long time and have finally made their move, however, RB Leipzig are said to have rejected the approach. They want to keep the Croatian for the coming season and have no plans to sell him, even for a fee as high as €80m.
Chelsea are also said to be interested, and any approach from them would also be rejected, with Bild saying RB Leipzig wouldn’t be interested in taking Timo Werner as part of the deal.
It seems a huge offer for the Bundesliga side to reject, and perhaps Manchester City are being used to hype the player’s value ahead of a potential move next summer.
