Reports from the North American media claim today that Manchester City have an agreement for the signing of a Mexican youngster in the future.

The news comes from AS, who are covering an original report from Mexican TV channel TUDN, and says the Premier League side can get Alex Alcalá once he turns 18-years-of-age.

However, that will still take a while, since the youngster is just 15, and has just reached a deal to play for Los Angeles Galaxy, according to the story.

It’s claimed that Alcalá will ‘develop’ at the California side with ‘the condition’ of being able to move to Manchester City once he reaches majority.

You’re probably confused with the story, and so are we. Why would Manchester City have a deal with LA Galaxy now that the MLS side are still to announce his signing? That would make more sense if he was moving to New York City, a club from the City Football Group, instead of the Los Angeles side.

AS writes that Alcalá trained in Barcelona’s and Manchester United’s youth ranks, so moving to Europe doesn’t seem to be a problem for him or his parents.

Since it all looks quite unclear for now, we better wait and see more details from this move.
