Manchester City and City Group official German Brunati is no longer working for them, according to reports from Mexico.
SuperDeportivo, relayed by AM, says that the South America ‘recruiter’ is now set to join Atlas as their new sporting director.
Brunati had been a scout and was then promoted to a sporting director at Montevideo City Torque, Manchester City’s partners in Uruguay.
Now even though the City Group are obviously a huge organisation, it seems he has an interesting chance by taking charge of a Mexican club.
On social media, Brunati released a short statement explaining that he’s leaving the group after 11 years working for them, and thanked everyone for the opportunities he was given.
The City Group made a big investment to take charge of Montevideo City Torque in Uruguay, but with the local league having little strength, there hasn’t been much news on a potential direct impact with Manchester City.
Atlas are going through a hard time in the Mexican league this season, and Brunati will have a tough job ahead.
