Manchester City have reached an agreement with Alianza Lima for defender Kluiverth Aguilar.

According to La República journalist Marco Coello, the two clubs have finally have an understanding in place for the youngster after several months of speculation.

Aguilar has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad for several months after it emerged City had identified him as an up and coming talent.

At one point it appeared a deal was done only for that to later be denied by Allianza Lima. Nonetheless, it was clear something was going on, and later reports indicated a move was on the cards.

Aguilar also pushed for it to happen, publicly admitting he wanted to make the move if it was available.

It seems he has not gotten his wish, with Coello revealing that a deal is in place and is set to ‘become official’ at some point today.

He reports that the two clubs have an agreement that will see the 16-year-old join Manchester City when he comes of age, which would presumably be 18.

There is no mention of what fee City are paying, or indeed whether he will be joining Manchester City or one of the other teams in the City Group first, just that a deal is now in place after months of speculation.
