Manchester City could present a ‘mind-boggling offer’ to sign Nicolò Barella from Inter Milan and could even talk to him after the Champions League final.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, relayed by FC Inter News, who say that Pep Guardiola ‘dotes’ on the Nerazzurri midfielder and could make a move to sign him.
Barella has impressed again for Inter this season, with six goals and seven assists in 35 games in Serie A and three goals in 11 games in the Champions League, where Inter have reached the final.
Manchester City appear to be one of them, with it claimed that Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the 26-year-old.
He may need to reshape his midfield this summer as Ilkay Gundogan’s future remains unresolved. The German’s contract is expiring this summer and he is yet to sign a renewal at the Etihad as he has offers from elsewhere, namely Barcelona.
He’s been a key player again for Manchester City this season and would be hard to replace but Barella is a player that could certainly do so.
Inter would be reluctant to lose one of their star men but Manchester City could present a ‘mind-boggling offer’ to test that resolve.
