Manchester City midfielder Rodri has admitted he finds the football in the Premier League ‘dizzying’ and knows he has plenty of improvement to make.

The Spaniard joined Manchester City in the summer transfer window, with the Blues paying £62.8m to buy him out of his contract at Atlético Madrid.

The 23-year-old was signed as the long-term replacement for midfielder Fernandinho, with the Brazilian turning 34 this summer.

He’s proved to be a solid signing so far, earning rave reviews from fans and pundits alike.

However, it has not been all easy going for him, with Manchester City currently fourth in the table and nine points behind leaders Liverpool after losing three of their 12 games so far.

That’s the worst start by a Pep Guardiola side ever and has seen some players come in for criticism for their performances.

Rodri is one of them and he admits he has found life in the Premier League demanding and has ‘great room for improvement’.

“Changing airs is good for individual growth,” El Comercio report him saying.

“The Premier is with the league the most demanding competition. I took an extra step; the football is dizzying. I feel I have great room for improvement.

“We have only just started the season, but I have acquired a lot of knowledge since I’ve been there (at Manchester City).

“Guardiola is a born worker, who thinks about his players 24 hours a day. He has helped me a lot to play in my position.

“I am growing a lot on an individual level in aspects that I thought were not typical of a pivot, such as the handling of the ball.”
